Abstract

The integration of persons with disabilities into the labor market remains one of the most critical socio-economic challenges in both developed and developing countries. Despite the adoption of inclusive employment policies, individuals with disabilities continuously face barriers such as limited access to education and vocational training, workplace discrimination, inadequate infrastructure, and restricted access to financial resources. Therefore, identifying effective mechanisms for labor market integration and self-employment has become a priority for policymakers and researchers. This study aims to analyze the challenges affecting the integration of persons with disabilities into the labor market and evaluate self-employment opportunities as a means to enhance their economic participation. The research is based on a qualitative and comparative analysis of international studies, policy documents, and reports from international organizations concerning disability employment and entrepreneurship.
