Abstract

This article extensively covers the history of the International Labour Organization's establishment, its stages of development, and its role in the international labor system. It provides detailed information about the organization's establishment in 1919 after the First World War to ensure social justice and strengthen lasting peace, its initial activities, and its subsequent entry into the UN system.The article scientifically analyzes the main tasks of the ILO - the development of international labor standards, the adoption of conventions and recommendations, the protection of labor rights, the fight against forced and child labor, ensuring gender equality, and the development of a social protection system. Also, the tripartite structure of the organization, that is, the equal participation of representatives of the government, employers, and workers, is indicated as an important feature of its activities. In addition, the article discusses globalization, the digital economy.
