Abstract

The article presents an improved methodology for using stories and fairy tales in primary grades and an innovative “Fairy Tale Pedagogy” model. The model consists of four integrated components: listening-discussion, dramatization, creative task and reflection. The results of an experimental study with the participation of 180 students are presented. It is statistically proven that the level of moral education in the experimental group increased by 34.8 percent, reading activity by 42.6 percent, and creative thinking by 28.4 percent. The possibilities and recommendations for the practical application of the methodology are developed.
