Abstract

This thesis analyzes the role and significance of labor education in the pedagogical and philosophical views of Eastern and Western thinkers. In particular, the ideas related to labor education put forward in the works of such thinkers as Abu Nasr al-Farabi, Abu Ali ibn Sina, Alisher Navoi, Jan Amos Comenius, and John Locke are examined from a theoretical perspective. Labor education is interpreted as an important factor in the formation of personal development, moral maturity, and social activity. The study reveals the importance of labor education in the modern education system and highlights the place of the thinkers’ intellectual heritage in today’s pedagogical process.
