Abstract

The tourism sector plays an important role in ensuring balanced regional development, increasing employment, and stimulating local economic growth. This article analyzes the current state of tourism development in the regions and identifies the main trends shaping the transformation of the tourism industry under modern economic conditions. The study examines structural changes in regional tourism, the diversification of tourism services, and the growing role of digitalization, infrastructure development, and investment activity. Using statistical and comparative analysis methods, the research evaluates key indicators of regional tourism development, including tourist flows, service volumes, and the contribution of tourism to regional socio-economic development. The results reveal significant differentiation among regions in terms of tourism potential utilization, institutional support, and innovation adoption. Based on the findings, the article determines priority directions for strengthening regional tourism development, enhancing competitiveness, and improving the effectiveness of state regulation and regional tourism policies.
