The thesis examines the core linguistic features of English diplomatic discourse within the framework of institutional communication. The study highlights the structural, semantic and pragmatic indicators that shape diplomatic language and ensure its functionality in political and international settings. Diplomatic discourse is characterized by a high degree of formality, standardized protocols, indirectness and linguistic strategies aimed at maintaining balance, mutual respect and cooperation between communicative parties. The analysis is based on the theoretical insights of leading scholars in discourse studies and pragmatics, focusing on how linguistic choices serve diplomatic objectives.
