Abstract

This paper aims to share ideas about the role of extensive reading in helping students developing their writing skills. Extensive reading is an approach to second language reading which gives students changes to read longer and more pieces of reading texts, which they choos and read at their own speed and ability level. The benefits of using extensive reading is as a supportive material to the students’ reading competence such as developing reading habits and writing skills too.
