Abstract

This article analyzes the issues of improving the teaching process of the subject “Vertebrate Zoology” in higher education institutions using information and communication technologies (ICT). The use of ICT tools in the teaching process, their role in the development of students' knowledge, skills and competencies, and ways to increase the effectiveness of the subject through innovative pedagogical approaches are highlighted. The advantages and problems of using distance learning, virtual laboratories and digital educational resources are also discussed.
