This article describes the experiences of ways of forming social and pedagogical competence in future teachers and the ideas about the pedagogical possibilities of developing the social competence of the teacher. The concepts of "competence", "professional competence" and "social competence" are defined. Important socio-pedagogical skills and social competence of the future educator are considered during the educational process.
