Abstract

this article examines the stylistic and functional features of anthroponyms in contemporary uzbek fiction. particular attention is paid to the role of proper names as a means of artistic expression and reflection of the cultural, social, and psychological characteristics of characters. based on an analysis of works by contemporary uzbek writers, new trends in the use of anthroponyms are identified, related to globalization, individualization, and the expansion of the semantic potential of names.
