This article explores the phenomenon of linguistic identity within the context of newspaper discourse, focusing on how language use in print media reflects and constructs cultural, social, and national identities. Drawing on discourse analysis and sociolinguistic theories, the study examines the role of lexical choices, stylistic devices, and narrative structures in shaping linguistic identity. The analysis highlights how newspapers, as a form of mass media, serve as a platform for reinforcing or challenging collective identities through language. The findings suggest that linguistic identity in newspaper discourse is a dynamic process, influenced by socio-political contexts, audience expectations, and editorial practices.
