Abstract

This scientific article explores the complex interplay between information threats and social voids in shaping youth criminal behavior. In the context of growing digital exposure, many young individuals are increasingly vulnerable to negative online influences, including content that promotes violence, extremism, and antisocial behavior. Simultaneously, unemployment, inequality, lack of educational access, and weakening family or community structures contribute to a growing number of at-risk youth. Based on statistical data from Uzbekistan and international sources, this study identifies the key socio-digital factors that increase susceptibility to criminal activity among youth. The research uses sociological surveys, content analysis, and comparative methods to examine how unfiltered digital media, social marginalization, and psychological pressures converge to increase crime rates. The paper offers policy recommendations focused on media literacy, digital regulation, youth employment, and preventive education as sustainable solutions. The findings emphasize the urgent need for a coordinated, multi-sectoral response to youth vulnerability in the digital age.
