This thesis highlights the theoretical and practical aspects of the phenomenon of graduonymy at the lexical level in English and Uzbek languages. Graduonymy is a phenomenon that reflects the gradual intensification or weakening of meaning within a single semantic field, which is clearly manifested in both languages, especially in the categories of adjectives and verbs. During the study, graduonymic series in both languages are analyzed based on modern linguistic and lexicological approaches, revealing their semantic characteristics, stylistic expression, and place in national thinking. The results demonstrate the significance of the graduonymy phenomenon for language richness, translation, and linguodidactic practice.
